It’s finally here! Summer is technically over today and Autumn has taken it’s place. I am celebrating with a giant mug of carob latte, brunch with some of my favorite people, and a clothing swap.
I thought I’d ring in the season with a few autumnal photographs.

I love blogs where people post a photo or illustration every day. It’s an amazing way to encourage yourself to create. I wanted to add something along those lines to What good have I done today?, but when I sat down and thought about it I knew I couldn’t hold myself to posting every single day. So I made a compromise. I recently got promoted at work and have Sundays off for the first time in my adult life.
I’m going to do a year of Sunday morning photos.
Documenting these mornings will remind me how fulfilling and restful having time and space just for yourself is. Once, I’m adjusted to having weekends off I can look back and appreciate just how precious that time is.

I just picked my bike, Caroline, up from the shop and she is like a brand new lady. She got a major tune up, some cleaning, a new seat, new handle bar tape, and a new bike rack. I’ll have to post photos soon!
I feel like I need to step up my game to match Caroline’s makeover. I always love photos of people looking fashionable and cycling. I recently discovered Bike Fancy, a bike fashion blog, based in Chicago. I can’t get enough!

I’m also finally in an office with a bike room. No more leaving Caroline out in the rain. The only other cyclist at work is from Denmark. I’ve noticed that Danish people love their bikes. Maybe it’s because motorists are more cautious towards them. Chicago motorists could use a few tips in that department.

In a little over two weeks Trevor and I are going on Bruise Cruise. Needless to say, I’m excited to escape these winter blues and enjoy some awesome music on the high seas. Since I’m in cruise mode, I thought I’d share some neat old ads for cruise lines.

Today is supposed to be the first real snow of winter. I enjoyed the unseasonable warmth we’ve had, but I’m ready to snuggle up with a cup of hot tea and watch the snow fall outside.
